The Idols In Our Life

1 Corinthians 12:2

Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

Idols are anything in our life that takes place of God. It could be a television show, sports player, actor or actress. Basically an idol is anything in our life that take the place of God, so we need to make sure that nothing in our life is getting in the place of God. Leviticus 19:4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

The bible is very clear that we should only serve God and not idols. Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

In conclusion, we need to make sure that we are putting God first and nothing else.
