Today, I would like to tell you about "creeping things." And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. ( Genesis 1:24 )
Today, I would like to introduce you to the Dung Beetle. These bugs are more useful than you would imagine. Dung Beetles have better GPS than our cars. When they crawl upon their "poop ball" in the day time and do the beetle dance, they look at the sun and locate the direction home. Then whenever they feel lost they look back at the sun and remember its location during their dance. They do the same thing at night, only use the Milky Way instead of the Sun. There are three categories of Dung Beetles. Some prefer to roll their balls of poop back to their homes. Others prefer to build new homes underneath the poop. The final category is the thief. This beetle waits for other beetles to roll their poop by and fight to steal the bounty. They also are capable of pushing a ball that is 50 times their own weight. They are one of the strongest bugs on earth! By the way, the ancient Egyptians worshipped the Scarab Beetles holding the Sun. If you look at the artwork, it looks closer to a Dung Beetle holding a poop ball. Now that you understand about Dung Beetles and how amazing they are it becomes obvious that an Almighty God had to have made them. Our God is way more worthy of worship than a bug rolling a poop ball, wouldn't you agree?
